Extended-range Expression Pedal with Spring-to-Center action.

The spring-to-center option adds torsion springs that cause the pedal to relax back to its center position when your foot is removed. This is useful for foot control of MIDI pitch bend, for example.

Generally speaking, you may need a 3rd-party product to convert the output of this pedal into a MIDI pitch bend message.  In other words, the standard expression pedal jacks of most products do not support spring-to-center.  MainStage or Bome's MIDI Translator can perform the operation in software, or you can use a hardware solution like the Doepfer Wheel Electronic PCB.  Upcoming Amelia's Compass electronics products will have built-in spring-to-center support.  Call or email if you need more info.
